اليأس هو السعي الحثيث نحو الأمل. ولكن عليك أن تيأس يأسًا حقيقيًا وعليهم أن يسمحوا لك بأن تيأس بحرية. ولكن في البلدان العربية، غير مسموح لك بأن تيأس، لأنك حينها تسيء لسمعة البلد والنظام. عليك أن تفرح بوجود الأمل. ولكن في الحقيقة لا يوجد أمل. لذا عليك أن تيأس بصدق كي تكشف زيف الأمل الذي يروجون له. يأسك الحقيقي فضيحة للأمل المزيف.

‏Despair is the relentless pursuit of hope. But you have to experience real despair, and they should allow you to despair freely. In Arab countries, however, you are not allowed to despair because you will harm the political regime’s reputation. You have to rejoice that there is hope. But in reality, there is no hope.
