وَالنّاسُ أكثر مِنْ خِل أُجَاذِبُهُ
أُعَاتِبُ المَرْءَ فِيما جاءَ وَاحِدَةً
ثُمّ السّلامُ عليْهِ لا أُعاتِبُهُ

The earth is wider than a home to confine to
And people are more than a friend to quarrel with
If a man does wrong, I reproach him but once
Then in peace I let him go without reproach
